Fayetteville Observer: Robert lee Plotts

I found my great grandfather’s obituary! Based off the birthday my Grandma gave me (June 13 1926) I was able to find it. I gave her the obituary so she could verify that it was the right person. She said it was. I hadn’t realized just how much of a war hero he was. He was a retired Army Command Sergeant Major. He served in three wars. (WWII, Korea, and Vietnam) he received the Purple Heart, bronze star, and the army commendation medal. He also served in the occupation of Laos, the bay of pigs and in special forces. Truly a great grandfather to be proud of, but then why did he leave his wife and daughter
